Accupuncture is Da Bomb

Last week I hurt my shoulder playing softball -- I was running to first base on a grounder and just as I touched the base, the first baseman bumped me and sent me flying into the air and I landed hard on my right shoulder. I was dazed and took a while to get up but I stayed in the game. I knew it was going to be sore for a while but after the game, I could barely move my shoulder at all and I was in pretty intense pain.

The next day I saw my doctor, who also does accupuncture, and underwent my first accupuncture session. I could feel the needles going into my shoulder but I just tried to relax and not think about it. But a few minutes after all the needles were in, I started to feel really lightheaded, nauseated, with a “sweating” sensation.

I told my doctor that and he said that it means that the accupuncture was working -- that it was drawing out the toxins in my body. Damn, I must have had tons of toxins in me because he had to move me to the exam table to lie down (I had been just sitting in a chair) because I was almost about to pass out!

At any rate, immediately after the accupuncture session, I didn’t notice any immediate improvement by a few hours later, my shoulder was noticeably less painful and I was starting to get more movement in it. The very next day, I noticed a huge improvement and was about 90% back to normal. A couple of days after that, I’m pretty much back to normal. All I can say is, damn, why didn’t I try this earlier? I think I’m gonna have to go back for more!
