Fantasy Baseball & Football

I’m a casual but regular player of both fantasy baseball and football. Usually I play with a group of friends and acquaintances and usually just for fun or for a very small amount of money. For the first few years when I started playing both, I had better luck with football than with baseball. However, for the past several years now, it’s been reversed -- I’ve had more success with my fantasy baseball teams than with my fantasy football teams.

But this year, my baseball team is just stinking up the place -- all my players are inconsistent and my star pitchers (Mark Prior, Matt Morris, and Roy Oswalt) have been huge disappointments. I’m used to being in the top two or three in the season standings but this year, I’m only 7th out of 14 teams. With little hope left for my baseball team, I’ve been turning my attention to my fantasy football team.

We just started our annual draft using email yesterday and so far my “star” players are Priest Holmes, Terrell Owens, Marshall Faulk, and Jeff Garcia. For the past several seasons, my football team has consistently been inconsistent as well -- each of my star players have had their worst years as a pro while on my team.

Will this year be different? Is my baseball and football luck about to turn the other way again? Tune in and find out . . .
