Vice Presidential Debate
Did you watch the debate last night between John Edwards and Dick(head) Cheney? I personally thought that it was a draw, but apparently, many gave the edge to Edwards. This CBSNews.com article noted that among its sample of 178 “uncommitted voters,” 41 percent said that Edwards won, 28% said that Cheney won, while 31% said it was a draw. Just as important, Edwards improved his image (political rather than aesthetic, I presume) among this sample of voters, with 49% saying that their image of him improved (only 32% said that of Cheney).
It’s encouraging, but there’s still plenty of Republican lying, distorting, and mudslinging to be done in the next three weeks before the election.
