New National Stats about Drug Use
CBS News reports that for the first time, the federal government has compiled comprehensive national stats on sunstance use and abuse, such as marijuana and other drug use and binge drinking:
Both college towns, Boston and Boulder, Colo., share another distinction: They lead the nation in marijuana use. Northwestern Iowa and southern Texas have the lowest use.
As a demographer, sociologist, and community of color member, it’s nice to finally have stats like this. I’ll certainly keep an eye on these numbers.
