Progressive Student Activism

Mother Jones Magazine has come out with their annual listing of notable examples of liberal/progressive student activism on college campuses in the past year, with the “Protest of the Year” going to Princeton students who registered their rejection of alumnus Bill Frist’s politics by filibustering for 384 hours.

As college students are apparently becoming increasingly conservative, it’s nice to see that student activism to support liberalism and progressive politics is still alive and well around the country. We need their energy now more than every.
